This girl rocks!

Drawing by Captain (4)

Captain (4) – One of the colors of her hair – ink on paper – september 2011

I just found this artwork done by a girl called Captain, through a comment on the post ‘Storm At Sea’, and it simply lit me! The colorscheme is so vibrant and so Spring 2013 you wouldn’t believe it. I could match this image with a shopwindow I took a picture of yesterday… The unconditioned expression I mentioned in my first blog, also includes the incredible balance in design before any lesson on the subject is taken. Maybe not design as we know it, but a balanced, natural elegance.

We as humans are part of it all, we are nature’s fruit and in that way connected to our environment, in which indisputable laws of order and design reign. This underlying structure is maybe best sensible to the young and untouched, who are new to the world and by drawing for example, show us how they perceive their surroundings.

It makes you think. That’s what I like about art.
