Documentary photographer Joost van der Vleuten found his inspiration on the balcony of his flat, looking down. Hundreds of scenes he witnessed and captured, describing the people in his images as ‘dots in a cropped observation’. I sat and watched, and compared and imagined stories behind the apparently random compositions… very inspiring everyday scenes!
