Nature performed another spectacular show in the northern province of Holland Groningen, the thinly populated area where our national gas fields are located. It has been in the news for more than a year now, as the mining of this gas has recently caused quiet severe earthquakes, damaging communities and making people fearful.

Maybe it is gas particles in the air, but this week an amazing appearance of northern lights was caught on camera at the village of Kolham.
