Canvas by Ben Eine
Yesterday was a day of Prince and typography. After an inspiring meeting discussing typography with a publisher I had to cross town, where every other car had turned into a Prince radio station, his music was everywhere! and the two put together reminded me of the large paintings of words, skillfully constructed by street artist Ben Eine.
The work of Eine (UK/USA, born 1970) has been around for some time now and he is most notable for his alphabet lettering and phrases on anything and everything across the world. I think it’s refreshing to see what good use of color and the right words can evoke. Put in the right place they become creative dynamite.
