Ben Eine inspired work on Java Street, Amsterdam. Signed by Diylay.
Again the sensation of not being alone > there are others who share my interest. And show it. This is a tribute I spotted on Java Street, the up and coming hip and happening shopping street around the corner, rappidly turning into a populair destination for young people sporting beards and buns. The typography on the shutter is inspired by Ben Eine’s work, a tribute I call it. {What was I doing there? I went with my son to an Indian phone shop to have the broken glass of his iPhone replaced, at a fair price. The mix of old and new use of the street is interesting, big Muslim mamas rubbing houlders with the hipster crowd…}
