My external back up drive broke down and I had to format a new one. Of course. Two days before my holiday and a long to do list to do… But getting on with it. After clicking the button to Activate Time Machine, my desktop converted into a portal into a virtual space, and among far away bright white dots the folders on my desktop appeared like index sheets, marching off into (digital) infinity, towards a bright white light… It made me worry… And I quit it. Not sure if I’m ready for a data hotel in deep space.
