The original image is a tiny image I noticed in the corner of my eye – in the listing of a creative newsletter I scanned the other day. I took the screenshot below.

This is what I saw.

It made me think of my son’s grandfather.

An immigrant from Naples, left his mother to build his life in the UK. Was self-employed, tried many trades, and is now independent. Enjoying a family life with children and grandchildren in a house overlooking the Welsch mountains. A proud man.
