New Year’s Greeting I received a few years ago, from a friend staying in Bamako, Mali.
The image above is from a mail – a New Year’s Greeting – I received a few years ago, from a friend staying in Bamako, Mali.
A cash machine blasting out banknotes with enormous numbers and the credentials of the bank of Zimbabwe. Clearly a message of prosperity. But Zimbabwe is not Mali, where the message came from.
Would the Zimbabwe dollar in Mali be regarded as the American dollar here? No good in the cornershop but incredibly prestigious?
We all know the feeling: What would I do with a million?
I have tickets from two national lotteries The New Year’s Eve Draw.
Say I win both, I come into 84 million.
Sitting on the sofa with a friend tonight we decided that’s it’s no fun being rich on your own, so we would split with others.
But yeah, I accept the wishes 😉
