A moodboard for a bead selling webshop witnessing the trend in 2015 | The fashion designer Virgil Abloh seems to have concentrated on the right bottom corner. Think Off-White. | Note to self: The right bottom area in drawings is a suspicious corner, according to the art therapist in the Korean film Parasite. It tells you something, she says. | wilson tichelaar ©
This is a moodboard I did for the webshop of BeadRoute. BeadRoute was a project I tried to pull off together with a friend who sources beads and fabrics in Mali. The elements of bracelet are made in Africa, of recycled flipflops, and put together in Amsterdam. Part of the profit would go to the African community, help them with the school.
This is about the bracelet CoffeeCake.
-> I didn’t want the traditional image of Africa and people in need. But an image of a modern life, fashion and media. Why you want one.
A very personal take on a bracelet, maybe not the best when supposed to please a large group of buyers.
